We believe that our team of paralegals, legal assistants and law clerks is second to none. Most of our support staff has been part of our team for many years. Two of our paralegals have twenty or more years of experience.STAFF
Karen Evans, Executive Office Administrator/Paralegal
Karen serves as the firm’s executive office administrator and as a paralegal. She joined the firm in 2013 after retiring as Chief of Staff from the Las Cruces Public Schools where she worked for 23 years. Her greatest joy comes from spending time with her family and grandchildren. Karen also loves traveling, with a particular fondness for cruising.
Suzanna Tenorio, Senior Paralegal
Suzanna is a nationally certified paralegal and a member of the NM State Bar Paralegal Division. She was born and raised in Zuni, NM. She and Beth German have worked together since 1998. Suzanna holds a B.A. in Political Science and an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies from the University of New Mexico. She enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
Gloria Marlow, Paralegal
Gloria, an Albuquerque native, has over 28 years of experience as a paralegal in New Mexico and Texas. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA in 1984 and with an AA in Paralegal Studies in 1989 from Our Lady of The Lake University in Houston, Texas. Gloria is an active member of the NM State Bar Paralegal Division and enjoys spending time with her family.
Melanie Scholer, Paralegal
Melanie holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico. She has worked in the ski and equestrian fields and served 2 terms on the Corrales Village Council. Born in Oregon and raised around the world, Melanie enjoys international history and travel, community involvement and animal rescue. She is a member of the NM State Bar Association Paralegal Division.
Kristina MorningDove, Legal Assistant
Kristina joined our firm in 2019 as a legal assistant. She has over 19 years of experience in client relations and over 9 years in administrative support. She plays a vital role in keeping our office running smoothly. Kristina is from the Pueblos of San Felipe and Acoma. She enjoys road trips, being a mother/aunt, and spending time with her family.
Kristy Greer Burnette, Legal Assistant
Kristy grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. She moved to New Mexico in 2001 and has been enjoying living in the East Mountains outside of Albuquerque ever since. She attended culinary school from 2002-03 and owned her own personal chef business. Kristy graduated from The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in 2013 earning a degree as a Natural Therapeutic Specialist. As a Licensed Massage Therapist she ran her own practice for five years. Kristy worked as a legal assistant with the law firm of Vogel & Burnette for two years before joining German • Burnette & Associates in 2019. Her main focus has always been raising her two wonderful children, volunteering in their classrooms and being a soccer team manager. Kristy enjoys staying active in her community, hiking, gardening, cooking, and practicing yoga.
IN MEMORIAM Carol Wood, Senior Paralegal
Carol grew up in Albuquerque’s South Valley and was a 1985 graduate of the University of New Mexico with a BA in Sociology with an emphasis on Criminology. She joined the firm in 2011, following the retirement of the Albuquerque attorney with whom she worked since 1979. Sadly, we lost Carol to pancreatic cancer in 2018. We honor her memory by participating in Polly’s Run to raise awareness of and donations for pancreatic cancer research. Carol was a very skilled and dedicated paralegal. She was always cheerful and willing to lend a hand.
