EXPERIENCE
Cindy Cordova has extensive litigation and general counsel experience. She joined German • Burnette & Associates as a contract attorney in 2018. Cindy started practicing law in New Mexico following graduation from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1997. Cindy served as General Counsel for the NM Regulation & Licensing Department, Alcohol and Gaming Program, General Services Dept and Economic Development Department. She was also General Counsel at the State Treasurer’s Office for six years where she defended the office against EEOC claims. Cindy prosecuted approximately 200 jury trial and over 1,000 bench trials as an Assistant District Attorney in the Second Judicial District and for over 5 years served as a litigation and senior litigation attorney for the NM Risk Management Bureau GSD, representing cases in state court and federal court, serving as supervising attorney for contract attorneys, overseeing multi-million dollar lawsuits filed against the state, and approving litigation strategy.
